Knowing that God is good and just
We walk by faith from day to day
Like Abraham in God we trust
The mysteries to clear some day.

With tender love each soul to win
In righteousness the Lord was slain
And when we hate and know the sin
We know at last and all is plain.

May God forbid that one should choose
And slight the offer from above
May God forbid that one should lose
The gift is generous in love.

But someday like a crystal glass
We see how all have made their choice
Gods’ books reveal just how we class
Our deeds and actions, words and voice.

We weep no more for those so dear
The wound of sin is ever healed
Too late to plead in bitter tear
For every case at last is sealed.
